Stine Milling Pilegaard

Credit and Sustainable investing Expert | Board Member | Strategic Advisor

Stine Milling Pilegaard is a senior director with PoE Capital advising on debt/credit instruments and structures. She is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in credit risk analysis, sustainable debt finance, ESG integration, and financial regulation. 

With a career spanning over two decades, she has successfully navigated roles in portfolio management and risk assessment across top-tier financial institutions. 

As the Founder of SMP Advisory, Stine provides independent advisory services to asset owners, managers, and corporations, focusing on embedding sustainability into investment and financing strategies. She also serves as a board member for two investment associations and a green energy startup, contributing her expertise in strategy, sustainability and governance in addition to capital and risk management.

Previously, she was Director at Capital Four, where she analysed credit investments, in addition to designing and implementing a comprehensive ESG investment framework. Prior to that, she spent six years as a Portfolio Manager at Nordea Asset Management, co-managing a €500m Nordic Bond Fund.

Her career began at Deutsche Bank London, where she held roles as a Director in Loan Portfolio Management, overseeing a €10bn loan book and managing credit risk through CDS and CLO structures, and as a Credit Risk Analyst covering Nordic financial institutions.

Stine holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and a Master of Commerce from Macquarie University. She has further enriched her expertise with Board Education from Copenhagen Business School and a Certificate in Climate and Investing (CCI) from CFA UK.

Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Stine is passionate about leveraging her investment acumen to drive sustainable financial solutions and responsible investment practices.
